Toru is an Ottawa-based artist with a wealth of experience in various fields, both art and non-art related.

His creativity is varied.  He is adept at a variety of artistic disciplines, including painting, drawing, sculpture, and ceramics.  He is also interested in, and focused on, many types of subject matter, from portraits and figures, to still life and interiors, and finally to landscape.  Variety fuels his creativity and must be acknowledged as an important aspect of his artistic endeavor.

" The things what I always keep in my mind when I paint are line contour, brush stroke, expression of depth and color balance. I especially love leaving brush strokes on my paintings. I can say the same about curving knife texture on sculptures too. I believe these techniques make my works stronger and more unique. "
